Was in a job in another town today and ran out of masking tape, I'd noticed a B&Q down the road earlier, jumped in the van tootled down the road and was tempted to shoplift on the pretext of 'they're trying to rob me I may as well do the same to them'.............4 quid for a roll of inch masking!!! nearly £6 if I wanted 3M.
I couldn't bring myself to pay it on principle even knowing it would cost me in time to look for more, fortunately 2 mins down the road was an independent.........£1.10, thank you I'll take 10 while I'm here

Noticed over the last 1-2 years that likes of B&Q, Focus,Wickes etc have been inreasing their prices dramatically, probs due to more pepes catching onto Screwfix and Toolstation... needed a 10mm steel drill bit the other week and went to local B&Q,, they wanted about £14 just for this... same as you couldn't bring myself to pay it even tho it would have finished the job quicker, spent time finding local place same as you... these 'big name' companies seem to have lost the plot....

A bit of condensation on a window and it falls off
